I am a new muslim, married in Pakistan- I guess I am a moderate and yes I have read the Qoran, Do I pray- not as often as I should- in a formal sense and all the time in an informal sense. Am I a changed person - not really . I was a moderate Christian and we all ( whether we acknowledge it or not) fall under the control of one god which according to Islamic belief means we are all under Islam and Muslims acknowledge that there is only one God, recognize Mohommad (Peace be upon him) as god's last messenger, pray five times a day, give alms and if they can afford make a pilgrimage to Mecca in their life. So as a Muslim in Pakistan I have adopted some of the local customs - as appropriate to the culture and concept of Islam. At Home I wear T shirts - discard my chador and Relax, In Islamabad I don a dupatta ( small shawl draped across the chest) - puttining it across my head for prayer and prayer call, In my village I wear my Chador ( literal translation sheet - shawl) on my head, when driving in GilgitI switch to a licra head scarf and dupatta which allows me to drive without the confinement of a chador. When its hot I dunk it in water for natural air conditioning especially in dry areas. I use it for picnics, as a curtain in hotels, to protect me and my children from the sun and unhygenic surfaces, for emergency clean ups, as a dress up toy for my young kids and any number of uses- including occasional baby hammock, grass collector, laundry collector, worlds biggest ...

Char Griller Duo with Side Fire Box and Mods

I recently purchased a Char-Griller Duo Model 5050 and a Side Fire Box Model 2-2424. I got them from local retail. The Duo had several damages inside the box. The company promptly corrected the decencies. The grill works great out of the box with gas and with charcoal in the adjustable burner tray. The paint is cheap and burned off of the trouble spots on the side fire box within 2 hours of the first firing. With the side fire box added flipping the burner tray over doesn't provide enough of a baffle to adequately distribute heat and smoke in the cook chamber. I built a water reservoir baffle and heat tuning plates that fit in the contour of the cook chamber. These would fit in just about any offset smoker of this style. They help to baffle the heat and smoke down and across the cook chamber and up through the gaps between the tuning plates. I have never been a fan of extending the chimney to the cook surface with the flex tube because I dont care for the look and taking up the cook space. I fashioned a false wall in the lid that covers the chimney opening and directs the flow to a one inch gap along the entire left edge of the cook surface. You can look down the chimney and see the smoke pulling evenly all along the baffle. If I were making this lid from scratch I would double wall the cold end by one inch and elbow the chimney into the end of the lid instead of the top. This would put the chimney input at grate level all along the cold side of the grill. My next mod is ...

-  Make some researches online to find what kinds exist when it comes to children. There are five basic types of life jackets but to us type I, II and III are important. The categories go something like this: infant life jackets go from 15-30 lbs, toddler category is from 30-50 lbs, and there is youth category that goes from 50-90 lbs.

-  It is very important to know how much your baby weighs at the moment you are getting a life jacket. The size of the jacket can be crucial for your baby safety. If the size it’s too big your baby could just slip out. On the other side, if the jacket is too small it can be very uncomfortable, but what is more important it may not keep our child afloat.

-  Look for safety features. It is important that the jacket you are buying have an oversized float collar which keep the infant’s head out of the water and also provide them to have secured resting when tired. When you put the jacket on your baby you are expecting that he stays on the baby so pay attention that the jacket also have a crotch strap. There is one more thing important to be on a jacket and that is a grab loop on the back. With that you can easily reach for your child if he falls into the water.

-  Read the labels inside the jacket. There should be an approval from a Coast Guard. If there is no approval on the jacket you are holding in your hands than that means that it may not be as safe as you desire.

-  When you come home with a life jacket test it first and make sure that it fits properly. To check that you have the right size lift the baby up by the shoulders of the life jacket. If your baby’s chin and ears do not slip through you will now you have a correct fit. Also check the buckle on the jacket to be sure it works.

-  Color is very important when buying an infant life jacket. High visibility of it provides you to know in every moment where your child is. The most common colors are orange and yellow. But if you are a child that can be pretty boring to wear, especially during the hot summer days, unless you have your favorite cartoon characters and designs on your life jacket. Luckily, today everything is possible and accessible.

Now that you know what are the things to think about when buying an infant life jacket, it’s important to take time to make sure that the jacket will keep your baby 100 percent safe. As we said there are many styles of jacket for children, so look for one that will support your child’s head while floating in the water. Now it is only left to say: enjoy your vacation!
